Seven beautiful cottages near Lassen National Park offer breathtaking views in every direction. Highlands Ranch Resort cottages were newly built in 2014-2015 and are situated next to the Lodge on the edge of Childs Meadow. Each has a unique décor and charm which includes gas fireplaces, premium king or queen beds, premium linens, HD television, coffee station and spectacular views of the meadow, mountains and grounds.

We love all animals, but unfortunately pets are prohibited on the property and in cottages.

WIFI is available in our lodge only. We are a remote resort and have limited WIFI.

Until now, Lassen Volcanic National Park’s idea of primo accommodations was unheated camping cabins. But the new Highlands Ranch Resort’s suites, 10 minutes east of the park, has changed all that for the cushier.

“Beyond Amazing”

The Wilsey’s have created the perfect place to stay when visiting the area. Nothing was overlooked when designing the cottages — from the comfortable bed with great linen, the large bathroom with heated floor, the spacious shower, the in-room coffee maker and even a flashlight for the dark, starry nights. Breakfast and dinner on the deck were delightful with tasty, well prepared and well presented food. Nice wine list as well. Highlands Ranch Resort is a peaceful place to rest and restore your energy, made even better by the friendliness of the staff and owners. Thanks for a fabulous stay! Stayed July 2015

“Doesn’t get any better!”

We just spent two nights at the brand new Highlands Ranch Resort and all I can say is that it doesn’t get any better! The property is stunning and the location to Lassen National Park is ideal. The owners did not spare any expense – the furniture, beds, amenities, linens are all top notch, and the level of detail in the design is amazing. I loved the layout of the cottages. There is plenty of room for two couples or a family, and the views from all the cottages are amazing! Oh, did I mention that there is a fireplace in each cottage and heated bathroom floors!! There is no place near Lassen that comes even close to this beautiful new resort. It is going to be our new home away from home!!!

“Beautiful and Relaxing”

We had an amazing time at Highlands Ranch Resort. Being brand new everything was perfectly clean and shouted quality. The location they have chosen for this fabulous resort can not be beat. Child’s Meadow is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. The staff was cheerful and thoughtful.

“Luxurious get away”

My son and I stayed in a large cabin for two nights while we explored Lassen Volcanic National Park. I had searched for a very special place to stay and this was it! All of the staff went overboard to make this experience wonderful. The setting for the cabins and restaurant is gorgeous and the location is perfect for accessing the park. The chef did an excellent job with variety on the menu and it was all delicious and presented with beauty and imagination.

“Fabulous!”

This new lodge, restaurant, bar & cottages located in Child’s Meadow, just outside the Mt. Lassen National Park, is beautiful. The setting is gorgeous, the lodging is so comfy & cozy. The natural stone & wood finishes are really nice quality. The staff is fabulous and so accommodating! I am looking forward to visiting again.
